This Privacy Policy explains what information DNSYS.org processes when you use the portal and its DNS, subdomain and short-URL services.

1. Information we process

Depending on how you use the service, DNSYS.org may process your email address, password hash, account status, account creation time, subdomains and DNS records you create, short URLs and their destinations, click counters, contact-form messages, activation tokens, IP addresses and basic server or security logs.

2. Why we process information

Information is used to create and secure accounts, provide DNS and redirect services, process account activation, operate short URLs, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, investigate technical problems and protect the infrastructure.

3. Passwords and activation

Passwords should be stored only as cryptographic password hashes. Account-activation links use temporary tokens. You should not share passwords or activation links with other people.

4. Server logs

Web, DNS and security systems may record technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps, requested resources, user agents and error information. These logs are used for reliability, diagnostics, security and abuse prevention.

5. Short URLs

The service may maintain an aggregate click count for short URLs. Web-server logs may separately contain technical request information such as IP addresses and timestamps.

6. Sharing

DNSYS.org does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law, to protect the service or users, or to infrastructure providers where processing is necessary to operate DNSYS.org.

7. Retention

Account and service data may be retained while an account or resource remains active. Security and server logs may be retained for a limited period appropriate for troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Data may be retained longer where required by law or necessary to resolve disputes.

8. Cookies and sessions

DNSYS.org may use a session cookie that is necessary for login, account security and CSRF protection. The portal should not require advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for its core functionality.
